Assertion (A): If a cube is placed in a liquid with two of its surfaces parallel to the free surface of the liquid, then the pressures on the two surfaces which are parallel to the free surface, are the same.

Reason(R): Pascal’slaw states that when a fluid is at rest, the pressure at any plane is the same in all directions.
