A two-stage single acting air compressor equipped with an intercooler draws air at 1.029 kgf / cm2 and 30°C and delivers it at 20 kgf/cm2. The mass delivered by the compressor is 10 kg / minute. The ratio of clearance volume to swept volume in the low pressure and high pressure cylinders is 0.03 and 0.04 respectively. If the compressor has a mechanical efficiency of 82% and it operates under maximum efficiency conditions, determine:

(i)    power supplied at the shaft of the compressor;

(ii)   isothermal efficiency;

(iii)  ratio of cylinder diameters for identical stroke length; and

(iv)  heat rejected in the inter-cooler.

Assume R = 29.3 kgf-m /kg°C ;
Cv = 0.172 kcal / kg°C and adiabatic index to be 1.25
