The mass of an electric motor is 100 kg. The mass of the armature alone is 30 kg and its centre of gravity lies 0.5 mm from the axis of rotation. The motor is mounted on five springs of negligible damping and the force transmitted to the floor is one-eleventh of the applied force. Assuming mass of the motor is equally distributed among the five springs, determine the (i) stiffness of each spring (ii) dynamic force transmitted to the floor. The motor is operating at a speed of 1400 rpm.
