An overlapping beam AB has simple supports at D and  as shown  in  the figure above. It carries

concentrated loads P, at its free ends and a uniformly distributed load of intensity w(N/m) over its

length DE. If bending moment at the middle point C of the beam is to be zero then what is the value of P?

      (a) $\frac{wl}{2}$

      (b) $\frac{wl}{4}$

     (c) $\frac{wl}{8}$

    (d) $\frac{wl}{16}$
