Determine the air-fuel ratio at 6000 m altitude in a carburetor adjusted to give an air-fuel ratio of 15 : 1 at sea level where air temperature is 270 C and pressure is 1.013 bar.

The temperature of air decreases with altitude and is given by the expression t = ts – 0.0065 h

Where h is height in metres and ts is the sea level temperature in 0C.

The air pressure decreases with altitude as per the relation.

Where P is in bar.
