A link AB is subjected to a force F ($\rightarrow$)  at a point P perpendicular to the link at a distance a from the CG as shown in the figure                                             

This will result in

(a) An inertia force F $\rightarrow$   through the CG and no inertia torque

(b) An inertia torque F.a  $\leftarrow$ and no inertia force

(c) Both inertia force F $\rightarrow$   through the CG and  inertia torque F. a

(d) Both inertia force F $\rightarrow$   through the CG and  inertia torque F. a
