A four -cylinder four-stroke cycle petrol engine has a cylinder bore of 65 mm and a stroke length of 100 mm.  It develops a torque of 75 N-m when running at 3000 r.p.m. The clearance volume is found to be 62.5 cm3. The brake thermal efficiency based on the air standard cycle is 0.5. The calorific value of the petrol used in the engine is 10,000 kcal / kg.  Determine

(i) the fuel consumption per hour and

(ii) the brake mean effective pressure.

Assume adiabatic index to be 1.4
