In the ideal Diesel cycle the maximum pressure reached is 36 kgf / cm2 and the ratio of compression is 13:1. The temperature at the beginning of the compression is 83°C and that at the beginning of the expansion is 1800°C. Determine the following:

(i)     The temperature at the end of compression,

(ii)    The temperature at the end of expansion,

(iii)   The heat supplied at constant pressure per kg of working fluid,

(iv) The heat rejected at constant volume per kg of working fluid,

(v)    The thermal efficiency of the cycle.

Assume CP = 0.238 and CV = 0.17. kJ/kg.K
