Give reasons why the Carnot cycle cannot be considered as the theoretical cycle for steam power plants even though its efficiency is the highest for the given heat source and sink temperatures. A Carnot cycle heat engine has an efficiency of 40%. If the high temperature is raised by 10%, what is the new efficiency keeping the same low temperature?
