A skater weighting 1000 N states at a speed of 20m/s on ice maintained at 00C. The average

skating area supporting between  the skates area supporting  the skaters  is 0.001 m2 and the

coefficient of friction between the skates and ice is 0.02. What will be the average thickness of a

film of water existing at the interface between the skater and ice? (Take dynamic viscosity of water as 0.001 Ns/m2)

      (a) 10-5 m

     (b) 10-6 m

     (c) 10-7 m

     (d) Not possible to estimate since there cannot be a possibility of formation of a thin  film of water at the interface
