(A) Both Statement (I) and Statement (II) are individually true and Statement (II) is the correct explanation of Statement (I)

(B) Both Statement (I) and Statement (II) are individually true but Statement (II) is NOT the correct explanation of Statement (I)

(C) Statement (I) is true but Statement (II) is false

(D) Statement (I) is false but Statement (II) is true   

 Statement (I) : In an isentropic nozzle flow, discharge reaches a maximum value when the throat pressure reaches the critical value.                          

Statement (II) : At the critical condition, throat Mach number remains at unity and the upstream side of throat is maintained low enough to give a continuous decrease of pressure and a continuous increase of velocity.
